SELF 2009

SELF started with its Frightening Friday Carnalval and ended with a sun-filled relaxing cookout -- in between, there were over 40 classes, two play parties, a step-down social, a puppy pit, a hot vendor market, bootblacking ... and so much more! The fun seemed to never end, and five SouthEast LeatherFest titles were awarded.

SELF congratulates:

• Miss Rae of Fort Lauderdale, FL, on being awarded the title of Ms SouthEast LeatherFest 2009
  

Miss Rae will represent SELF across the southeast region. As the co-founder of Women of Leather Florida (WOLF), has taught many classes on caning, etiquette, rhythmic beating and role playing, along with her pet, chris. She is looking forward to representing the southeast region.

• Nefarious of Central NC, on being awarded the title of Mr SouthEast LeatherFest 2009

• Margaret of Baton Rouge, LA, on being awarded the title of SouthEast BootBlack 2009

• Master Tom and slave linda of Atlanta, GA, on being appointed the 2009 SouthEast Master/slave titleholders

SELF congratulates both each of the new southeast titleholders, and thanks all of those who worked to make SELF a success -- especially those who stepped forward to volunteer, and those groups who worked to make the SELF Carnalval a success. First prize for booth participation went to MAsT-Atlanta – for the second year in a row!

The new SELF Community Award made its debut this year. We’re celebrating those who make our community thrive, and this year awards were given to TD of BDSM WaxPlay, Harley Gould of Atlanta and BikerDad of western North Carolina.

The attendees of SELF raised $1,000 to benefit NCSF this year -- thank you for your generosity. Again, thanks to everyone who volunteered, pitched in, attended and/or worked countless hours to make SELF 2009 so fun! Friday evening $2000.00 was raised for our titleholders travel fund.We also raised $1000 for the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom in a 50/50 raffle and with funds raised at Kinky Prom in May. Our judge tammy won the $562.00 from the 50/50.
